Invitation

Dear Knot at Lunch People,

We will have our next lunch on Thursday October 30, at the (hopefully temporary) usual place, the seminar room on the 10th floor of 215 Huron St., at 12 noon.

As always, please bring brown-bag lunch and fresh ideas. Peter Lee promised to say something, but I'm not sure if he announced what it will be. Or we may talk about something else.

Further information about this Knot at Lunch meeting may be posted later at https://drorbn.net/drorbn?title=Knot_at_Lunch_on_October_30_2008.

As always, if you know anyone I should add to this mailing list or if you wish to be removed from this mailing list please let me know. To prevent junk accumulation in mailboxes, I will actively remove inactive people unless they request otherwise.

Best,

Dror.

Some Content

First, I (Dror) described the "map of the field" I made for my talk in Northeastern. We then talked a bit about the "exact" sequence going from knots to links to homotopy links. The main part was a summary by Peter Lee of the paper The cohomology ring of the real locus of the moduli space of stable curves of genus 0 with marked points by Pavel Etingof, Andre Henriques, Joel Kamnitzer, and Eric Rains (arXiv:math/0507514).
