Configuration space

[math]\displaystyle{ C_A^O(M) = \{\mathrm{injections}\; f: A \rightarrow M\} }[/math], where [math]\displaystyle{ A }[/math] and [math]\displaystyle{ M }[/math] are finite set and a topological space respectively, is another way to define the configuration space of [math]\displaystyle{ M }[/math]. In this definition, the points on [math]\displaystyle{ M }[/math] are labelled by the elements of [math]\displaystyle{ A }[/math].
