The $\nu ^{-1}$'s in the definition of ${\check {Z}}$ should be $\nu$'s, and not as I wrote. That's what makes this result of LMMO a bit surprising. So the correct ${\check {Z}}$ value of the unknot is $\nu ^{2}$!
